About me

Barbara Guenther
Psychotherapist and Jungian Analyst
I am a Jungian Analyst trained at the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), and I am also a member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I was educated in the United States, Germany and the UK, and welcome German speakers.
I work to create a safe, professionally boundaried space to explore your inner world with you, where feeling deeply becomes possible and the unspoken can be said, free of a sense of shame or judgement.
I have specific experience in
-
Depression and anxiety
-
Early relational trauma and sensitive personalities
-
Mourning and loss
-
Alcohol and drug misuse
-
Sexual trauma
-
Unhappy discontentedness
-
Creative block
I'm not from here, and chances are, you are not either. Cultural dislocation is an area of interest in my practice.

Prior to training as a Jungian analyst, I advised commercial clients as a management consultant and placed senior leadership in media organisations; the working world and its challenges are familiar.

I am a graduate of Columbia University (New York), The London School of Economics, and UCL/Birkbeck.
